OMG!

Why have we become so insensitive and indifferent to almost anything and everything that is happening around us and anywhere in the world!?

Even if as individuals, we have to grow, thrive and survive better during our lifetime, it would call for consideration in being sensibly sensitive and a bit vulnerable too.  In fact, we are called human 'beings' to mean that it is our 'being' that matter and our 'being' lies in being sensitive to our immediate surroundings i.e., to begin with, then soon to respond to the urges of our distant fellow beings, being a bit vulnerable to our loved ones, dear ones and fellow beings so as to continue and nourish relationships, lest we become the beasts or bullies.

Easier said than done, how can we maintain such virtues in us, rather cultivate or develop the qualities to meaningful proportion so that the dictum 'live and let live' prevails?

It is said, 'what we eat is what we are'. Are we eating proper, palatable, healthy food? A bugging question atleast in me.

Then, are we wearing the right clothes?! Uh! less said the better! You are asked by the multinationals and the imitating private organisations to cover yourself throughout your stay in the organisation (and many a times outside too) with coat, a tie, formal shoes and what not! Why would the employers forget that we Indians live in typical hyper-tropical climate increasing by temperature inch by inch, rather degree by degree celcius/fahrenheit or whatever!?

Are we speaking with a right tongue!? Some Sanskrit soothe-saying goes, 'Vanyeka samalankarothi purusham ya samskrita dharyate, ksheeyanthe khalu bhooshanani satatam, Vaagbhooshanam Bhooshanam!!' Meaning, one who is cultured is decorated only by what he utters /speaks. Woudn't all other decorations go feeble against what is spoken, only what is spoken is the best decoration indeed!!.  Today, our generations are ridden with complete colloquality, cuss words, double entendre, omg! Enough to spoil every thread of relationship between any.

.....will continue thoughts....if it naturally flows, blocked as on now....quo,sera,sera.....

Indian Sub-continent:

We just Predict, but the Cosmos Conspires

How about giving Mahadayi award to Karnataka? !

How about awarding Cauvery water in favour of Tamil Nadu?!!

A.S. Chandramouli Opines
Yes! It appears both these are realities in near future. It is just another way of give and take by the central government to play its cards in shaking the existing government in Karnataka for its party to make it sooner or later. Observe that it is easy for the Centre to convince Goa, with its own party hold there, for the bargain, say by luring it into an offer of economic corridor [cued from the idea of the recent Sino-Pak (occupied Kashmir) econo-corridor?) linking Goa-Mumbai-Ahmadabad or a mega offer of project for the seacoast and fishermen of high-tech marine vocations and job offers or such equivalents, at least on paper to begin with. But facing the wrath of Tamil Nadu, uh! That is far fetching, since Purichchi Talaivi is too large a figure (thanks to the bulldozing state people’s unstinted support) to bate with and become a bane for centre in finishing its term smoothly. In fact, the hit by previous central guard on Kumari made it to prison, but not without silent consent of the then existing same current central government which then, bailing out made itself a good Samaritan, taking credits and winning a corner of the heart somewhere of Kumari for her further non-perturbed moves till the full term of current central government is over.

Though appears pessimistic, no bundh, no hartal or getting to streets is of help to Aam Janthaa of Karnataka on Cauvery issue or Mahadayi. It is at the helm of affairs, in the top rungs the political game is severe and stronger. Common man is simply straining oneself hitting on their own livelihood. Also, it is to observe that the bureaucrats are kept alarmingly busier by the politicians as they while-away their time to complete the term. As a cartoon in one of the local media between the states said, mouse asking Lord Ganesh as to why his fest this year was lukewarm and not with full fervor, Ganesh in reply saying, ‘people are all now busy in deshbhakti as against devbhakti’.

Oh! That reminds us of Sino-Pak Economic Corridor, which ‘The Dawn’ newspaper describes as benefitting nearly 20 European nations. It appears a true global welfare as against the will and wish of one nation’s agonies which has vulnerable options. Of course, head of state of the peninsula in limelight could also be signaling if the far west friends would not go by its side, it did take decision to the tip of nose to go for a full scale war with its most antagonistic neighbor. This was evident in the way it was handled by the worrying head in the recent G-20 meeting of 2016. With the recent and fresh Indo-US military cooperation, USA is more happy to see good business in it rather than triggering a war which is always a loss for any party involved with it. Thus, the Corridor issue is already international and global, just like terrorism is.

So what would happen to the fate of the envisaged corridor before the existing peninsula government’s term of ‘soon to be 1000 days and less than two years to complete’ is over? It could be history repeating itself. Long, long ago, it was the Khyber Pass, now the through-PoK-economic-Corridor, that’s the only difference. The big brother of the West is within inside more than happy because the better the eastern business thrives, more it profits, due to the sheer volume of population and transaction of Asia ultimately making the Dollar strengthened to brim. This is because in the current times, any currency including the Euro gaining strength will virtually play better in international market culminating in vibrant movement of many other currencies, particularly the stronger ones such as USD.

Nepal, ....Nepal, ......Nepal !!
Nay Pal ! Nay.... Nay !!  This is not happening!
It is time for Disaster Management concept to be reviewed by India.
Post Disaster Management appears pink in all eyes. But all theory is there about Preventive approaches under the chapters of Disaster Management in India - preparedness, mitigation, etc., etc..
Nature is best understood if pre-planned and compatible ways of living with nature are instilled among people anywhere in the world.

It is unfortunate that the trained sleuths in Disaster Management have the instincts to take that extra bit of pleasure in dealing with post-disaster situations. The same skilled ones shall be further trained to look out for instilling among people, the mitigation and preparedness efforts - indeed a long term practice, but really paying in the end.

Relief, post-trauma care (thanks to NIMHANS, Bengaluru) and rehabilitation are OK. But nothing like mitigation measures and better preparedness. Thus the soaring figures in headlines of dailies at these times could be mitigated too!  If 'Make hay while the Sun shines' is an adage applicable during peace time, what about the pain time?!

I'm at least, Nay! atleast optimistic of Indian body of National Disaster Management groups will gear up much more in preventive mechanisms ..... :) Not of the earthquake, but of the life-losses.

REAL LIFE IS WHEN ONCE YOU MOVE OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

How True! How True!  It's my personal experience in the recent past.  My deeds got the power, money and work hands full.  Along with them came lots of love from family, friends, my darling students and the ever great alumni.

But when it changed as it does when you mature for better, it was a big decision indeed.  Quitting Surana Educational Institutions is not a cool choice, especially after being the Principal of it.  But, it was time to move on...... particularly after the sense of achievement that came as a booty but not surprisingly. The Top CGPA grade for the Institution of 3.44 out of 4 for that season in the entire country's nearly 155 colleges accredited then was a standing testimony for itself.

It is both a personal achievement as well as that of the Institution's.  But time brings in unpalatable elements harking upon power with banal instincts of jealously, leading to virtual heresy.

None to blame, it was happy time to move on, gain and gather new energies, spiritual or otherwise, make new friends, revere the old and savor the attached.  Seeing kids grow and spouse growing that bit sensible and also sensual, what more for a man to sleep over the past laurels for a while and take stock of energies to rise as a Phoenix!

Await enthrallment soon in the next rest,

Media Education in Bangalore affiliated Colleges, A bunch of Misconceptions

Nearly 60 Undergraduate Colleges affiliated to Bangalore University run the tri-cognate subject combination with Journalism [a gross misnomer in itself for the mismatch in curriculum that is put in place, it better be called Media Studies] subject as one of them. Mostly, the combo goes with Psychology subject. The very idea of such colleges opting for this on-board attractive subject is with ulterior motives of using the faculty as Public Relations and Media Relations Incharge, or even worse, as the publication division coordinator for drafting Press Releases of the college activities or bringing out newsletters.
The main fact that is forgotten by these colleges is about their undue expectations about the subject or its department. While a Commerce department does not train its students to indulge in trade or transaction inside the campus, or a Computer Science department not preparing software for its own college, why is it that a journalism department to prepare newsletters or so on? I think the enemy is within the fraternity, more from the field who cannot accept academic approach in media sector as they snub it as rubbish. If an M.A. in Economics does not become an economist, a M.A. in history does not become a historian, should a Masters in Journalism always become a journalist or a media professional, why not an academician or an educationist in pursuit of media studies and its associated pedagogy?

Please react to the above... Thank you in advance,  :-)
